1. The main thesis of the article, in your own words. (Most academic articles have an /jndzydx identifiable thesis, but if an article does not, state the main subject/s.)
 

This paper expounds the idea of dynamic Newfoundland people from several vernacular poetry, nationalism, and cultural identification during this period of 1920-1955, reflect the characteristics and features of the nation. It is timely to take the examination of the history of Newfoundland nationalism and its cultural roots, exploring this nationalism's relationship to the island's folk music. Evidence of Newfoundland nationalism was seldom exist in Greenleaf's song-harvest during 1929-1930, but it did exist.

2. Major points expressed in the article. (The number will vary depending on the article, but between 7 and 15 is a good number to aim for.) Include whatever information would be important to communicate to somebody who hadn't read the article but needed to be familiar with its contents.
3. Any important terms or concepts you did not fully understand at first (give the definitions if you looked them up), background information you needed, or a question or idea that the article raised in your mind.
4. One example of how the article relates to ideas discussed in the regular course readings ("lectures"), in other articles, in discussions that may take place during the course, or any other source. Another option would be an example of how the article relates to your own experience.
5. Anything the author could have done to enhance your understanding or make the article more interesting. Were there any problems with or shortcomings to the article? If you think the article is fine the way it is, you may give an example of how the article could be  updated or presented in multimedia.
6. A short quotation from the article that you liked or found important. (Briefly explain your reason for picking it.)
